Requirements Associate degree and two years of related PSG experience. BRPT registry. Additional experience may be used on a one-to-one basis to offset education requirements. Salary commensurate with experience. Grade ED.
Position Description: The primary function of this position is to perform overnight polysomnography testing measuring neurological, respiratory, and cardiovascular functions for each patient being monitored. Acuity is 2:1 normally. This position requires maintenance, calibration, and troubleshooting of equipment used for routine testing. Responsible for initiation of subject's medical records, chart maintenance and paperwork management, maintaining/improving job knowledge and skills in an ever expanding technical field, and successful communication and reporting of unusual events, malfunctioning equipment, and potential problems. Accountable for making sound independent judgments related to testing of subjects.
Hours for position are from 7:00pm to 8:00am.
Completion of a Polysomnographic training program is highly desirable.

Full time opportunity available for experienced Registered Polysomnographic Technician. This is a night shift position. Performs routine patient assessments, performs various sleep studies in order to diagnose the type and extent of sleep disorders. The ideal candidate will perform sleep studies (Diagnostic and Titration), MSLT and MWT. The ideal candidate will also be responsible to score sleep studies. Minimum 1 yr of Polysomnographic experience with Adult, Pediatrics experience preferred, RPSGT and ACLS credential mandatory.

Provide comprehensive evaluation and treatment of a sleep disorders. This may involve polysomnography, diagnostic and therapeutic services or patient care and education. Successful completion of a polysomnography program, of no less than one year duration, associated with a state licensed and/or a nationally accredited educational facility. Minimum of one to two years clinical experience in polysomnography. Prefer candidate to be registered by the BRPT with current experience as a sleep technologist. Ability to obtain RPSGT by the BRPT within 12 to 18 months of employment and maintain registry. Ability to obtain BLS certification within 6 months of employment and maintain certification. Full-time, Friday, Saturday and Sunday rotation. 36 hours per week.
